[Nordskogen] Baronial Sewing Project: Northshield Royal Surcotes

Greetings, Nordskogen!

An opportunity has come up for Nordskogen to support the kingdom in a
very tangible way – the fighting surcotes for our King and our Prince
have become battle-weary and faded.  In addition, the sizing on the
surcotes is limited, leaving our more substantial rulers with very few
options.  Some folks have been discussing this at Wednesday evening
meetings the past couple of weeks, and we're going to work together to
fix the situation.

The plan is to make 6 surcotes – 2 Lg King, 2 Med King, 1 Lg Prince, 1
Med Prince.  The surcotes for our royal women are still in great
shape, so we don't need make any of those.  I'll be purchasing and
washing the fabric tomorrow (Sat, Feb 2).  We'll need to get at least
one Lg King surcote done very quickly so that His Majesty Hagan is
suitably attired at Gulf Wars.

Please consider pitching in at the times and places listed below!  All
help is greatly appreciated!

Sunday, Feb 3, 11am – 7pm Marwen and Viði's House: Cut out surcotes,
Start sewing surcotes, Pattern appliqués

Monday, Feb 4, 6pm – 8:30pm Marwen and Viði's House: Continue sewing
surcotes, complete appliqués patterns

Wednesday, Feb 6, 6:30pm – 9:00pm Wednesday Night Meeting, Sew
surcotes as needed, start attaching appliqués (possible break for
Baronial Court?)

Wednesday Feb 13, 6:30 – 9:00pm Wednesday Night Meeting, Attach and
sew appliqués

Additional sewing times will be scheduled beyond that as needed.

If you can make it on Sunday or Monday, please let me know in advance
so that I can better plan the work!  Also, if people have portable
machines and/or sergers to bring, please let me know!   We'll probably
order in pizza or somesuch.  I'll have a few beverages available.  Let
