Greetings,I have a lovely lavender Italian gown for sale, it has been worn only five time at most.  This gown is made from a beautiful upholstery weight cotton damask which was imported from England.   The bodice, made with side-back lacing like the famous Eleanora of Toledo burial gown, is completely lined and has a substantial interlining making any corsetry unnecessary.  All the lacing eyelets on this bodice are hand done.  The skirt, which has been cartridge pleated to the bodice, is unlined but has cotton twill tape to reinforce and help protect, the hem from wear.  The sleeves were designed to be pinned on, like you see in so many portraits.  However, the sleeves should be easy enough to alter to tying or buttoning on.  The five silver buttons down the outside of each sleeve have been sewn in place so that you don't have to worry about your sleeves constantly coming undone.
