Hi,
The Raffle this year is going to have a little twist. It is something new
that we are trying. We are combining a Jumbo sale with the Raffle. The
reason we are trying this is to keep the total value of the items donated
down so that we fall within the guidelines for the State of MN for running a
Raffle.
What is a Jumbo sale? It is a British form of a garage/yard sale. I am
looking for nice items that can be put either in the Jumbo sale or the
raffle. The sale will be on one side of the room and the raffle on the
other. The one nice thing about a Jumbo sale, if you want it now, you can
get it now.
When giving me your items, just let me know if you want it in the Jumbo sale
or to go into the Raffle. If you want you can give me a price you feel
would be fair on the item going into the Jumbo sale. If your donation is
going to the raffle then please give me the fair market value of the item.
I will be tracking this. If you do not let me know were you would like your
item to go, then I will decide. So you have the option of letting me select
what item should go where.
You can give me your donations at the meeting, drop them off at my house, or
you can drop it off the day of. I would prefer it you gave me the items
earlier so that I can get time to tag the items if they are going in the
Jumbo sale, or number the item if it is going in the Raffle.
I will not be at the meeting on Wednesday, November 28th, but Baron Geoffrey
will be there. He will be practicing in the Rapier Hall, so that you can
send the items home with him.
This is going to be different for me, but I look forward to trying this out.
So look for good items that you think people will buy and let us make some
money for the Barony so we can do more fun things.
Looking for a bunch of good items,
Viscountess Anne Geoffreys of Warwick
