Greetings unto the hall!
Firstly, thank you for your support of KWAR. While this is a "specialty event," it is being hosted by the Barony and Morcar, I, and the (interkingdom) staff would like to thank you.
Secondly, I am pleased (and relieved) to say that we have met our minimum reservations for the hotel - just barely, but we made it. Whew.
Thirdly, a response to inquiries: both Morcar and I have been approached by baronial members who have have indicated that they would attend the event - even though the topic isn't of interest to them, personally - to either volunteer or simply to be supportive of the Barony and the event - but that the site fee is a bit pricey just to "be there."
Well, enough folks inquired in this direction that Morcar and I had several discussions about a reduced rate for locals, and we've concluded that we'd rather have you there.
Therefore, in return for a donation towards our site costs, we ask that you check in at Porter (well, you need to do that anyways, duh) and indicate that you are present for the day as a member of the Barony ... hint, hint - we do still need some volunteers (Faelan, for classrooms; Frederick, for the Oakeshott; for example) and certainly Their Excellencies Nordskogen and attending Royalty would appreciate any assistance offered with setting up a presence, etc. Or, in the words of Maestra Giovanna, one could simply be "helpful in general" to our visitors/attendees.
Thank you again, and we hope to see you at KWAR!
Guenievre & Morcar
p.s. I encourage you to bring a few dollars, as our t-shirt's artwork kicks butt - hand drawn by a Northshielder, Ld. Vincent.
