[Nordskogen] Reminder: Largess Competition, Wednesday April 11th

Greetings to one and all!
   
  This is a reminder that the Largess Competition to gather items for use by TRH's Hrodir and Giulia during their reign will take place at the April Folk Moot on Wednesday April 11th.
   
  The Folk Moot will be held at the new meeting site 
  Arden Hills Army Reserve Center
1245 Highway 96 W
Arden Hills, MN 55112-5743

  The site opens at 6:30 and the meeting begins at 7 pm.  Please bring the items for the competition no later than 7 pm so they can be set out for the bean count.
   
  Please keep the following things in mind when deciding on your entry.
   
  1) The items will be used by TRH's during their reign and their preferences are as follows:
  Scroll blanks, cordials, meads, wines, gift bags, tokens (coins, glass beads, braided cords rings, arm rings, bracelets). While not all of these items are considered "largess" a number do fall into these categories so use this as your guide.  If you have an idea but are unsure, please ask me.
   
  2) Please make 6 copies of your item.  You may make more, but 6 is the minimum.
   
  3) The winning entrant will be determined through a bean count by those attending the Folk moot.  The prise will be something made by me TBD between me and the winner.  Prizes in the past have consisted of hand knit items, knitting lessons, and sewing a Viking coat (materials provided). 
   
  If you have specific questions, please contact me.
   
  All entries will be collected at the end of the meeting and given to TE's Nordskogen, who will present them to TRH's at Their Coronation in Silfren Mare on April 14th.  I look forward to seeing all of you on the 11th (I have a previous engagement on the 4th and will not be attending the meeting).
