  It can really save the day.  I was at a Meridian
coronation *mumble mumble* years ago, with an
interminable wait for court to start. I mean
_interminable_. I think there may have been some
problem with regalia. 

 To distract the populace, they had us line up in
order of precedence, and some resourceful soul pulled
out a recorder and started playing a pavan.  Only a
few gentles were dancing, but it made for a more
pleasant wait for all of us.
