Even though I don't work there anymore, that's no reason to ignore the cool things happening at The American Swedish Institute (2600 Park Ave, Mpls)... in fact, I'm really wishing I could be there for this one. Darn it.

Fiber Artist Gives Library Forum Talk
Wednesay, Jan. 24, 2007 - 7 p.m.
Yvonne Bävman, a Swedish artist who works in the medium of felt, will discuss her work in a Library Forum lecture on Wednesday Jan. 24 at p.m. She will talk about her felted life and the area in which she lives. The illustrated talk is presented in conjunction with her exhibit Feathers and Fibers, on display at the American Swedish Institute Jan. 24 - March 11, 2007. Library Forum lectures are free and open to all. The American Swedish Institute is at 2600 Park Ave. in Minneapolis. For information call 612-871-4907.
Born in Malmö, Sweden, Yvonne Bävman has lived on a farm outside Tomelilla for the last 20 years. Educated as a teacher of textile crafts, she has devoted herself to felted art for the last ten years. She is a member of Formargruppen in Malmö and Östra Skåne Konstnärs Gille (Eastern Skånes Artists Group), a juried group of artists and craftspeople.
