[Nordskogen] OT: Old Cheap Laptop For Sale

Hey all,

I just thought I'd offer here before she goes on eBay.

I have a laptop not being used that I'd like to sell. I'm asking only $50,
but it currently has no hard drive.

If you're still reading, you probably want to know more. The machine is an
IBM ThinkPad 570, which is an ultralight portable, which means no CD or
floppy drive. It has a 13.3" screen with 1024x768 pixels and the screen
looks good.

The CPU is a 333MHz Pentium II. There is 64MB RAM built in, and one open
socket that can take up to 256MB more. The machine is capable of running
Windows XP. It's not real happy to do it, but it will. It will also run
Linux just fine. It is very capable if you want it mostly for web browsing
or productivity applications (but not a lot at once) or simple games (no
3D!) or as an audio player.

One AC adapter is included. There is a main battery, but it only runs about
five minutes.

I have a 256MB stick of memory that I'll sell for $30 more installed and
tested.

I'll help install your operating system of choice if you'd like. (I have a
floppy drive and network card to help with that.)
