[Nordskogen] a bookish idea

Greetings All,
When I moved out of Olaf in May, I looked at the piles (and piles!) of my
class books and thought how great it was going to be to finally have time to
read what I want. Only now I am starting to really miss reading books and
talking about them. So I got this idea: I think it would be really cool to
have a group of people that would read a book about a topic in medieval
history and then meet once a monthish to talk about the book. I imagine the
topics we pick will vary quite a bit - one month maybe a book about daily
life in the time of Charlemange, the next month a book about the Fourth
Crusade. If this sounds like something you would perhaps like to do, please
email me so I can see if there is enough interest. Then I can see what day
works the best for everyone. Even if your schedule is insanely busy and
might explode if you add one more thing, email me anyway. Maybe I'll set up
an LJ community or something like that so part of the discussion can be
online.
Alternatively, if this is already going on, please tell me so I can get
involved.
I'll be at the meeting tonight if anyone wants to talk with me about this
idea in person. I'll be a little late though.
Yay books!
Elizabeth de Percy
