I do some spinning, but mostly with drop spindle and I've only just started 
exploring dyeing. I would suggest heading to baronial meeting and watching 
to see who all is there with textiles. They'll be able to give you more 
information and hands-on direction. I can help a bit if you're looking for 
books, though.
