Greetings and salutations!
I think the orginal message got eaten last night. Here it is
again!
When: Sunday, July 30, 2006
Where: Marsh Lake Archery Range, Bloomington, MN
Schedule:
11 AM Set up
12 noon Sign in; Range opens for equipment inspections
and practice
1 PM or so Court and introduction of archers
After court start of archery
After archery Ice Cream! Then Court to announce the winner
of the Tourney.
Everyone is invited to join in the shooting - you are not
required to participate in the tourney to particiapte in the
shoots (although everyone is encouraged!). You can also try
just the shoots you want. Loaner equipment will be available -
the bows have new strings and the arrows are freshly repaired.
Arm guards and gloves/finger tabs will also be available.
This is a garb-wearing moot, but if you are planning on shooting
remember to wear sleeves that are close fitting or can easily be
tied up (so they don't get tangled in the bow string).
The site is primitve with limited shade. There is one privy at
the site, although there are more across the street at the
soccer fields. I will have water and cups available, but I
encourage everyone to bring their own. Shade flies and chairs
are also encouraged. And sunscreen.
Please contact me if you have any questions about archery or the
moot. jlsteadman at yahoo.com or call me at 612-871-6072 (before
10PM, please).
Directions to Marsh Lake Archery Range: Best route to I494 and
France Ave South. Go south on France Ave for about two miles.
The range is on the east side of France, just north of
Normandale Community College, at about where 96th Street would
be if the park and the playfields weren't there.
YIS,
Eustachia de Westwic
Archery Captain
