[Nordskogen] Impending Gallery Outage

On Saturday, 20 July 2006, around 1400 CDT, the Unofficial Northshield
Gallery will go offline for a little while. During this offline time, it
will be getting new disk space and get migrated to a new physical server as
well. The result should be speed improvements for both the gallery on the
one hand (it will be running on a faster and less loaded-down server), and
other sites hosted on its old machine (because it will no longer be bogging
the machine down!).

In addition, sometime after this move is accomplished (but probably AFTER
the gallery is brought back on line), I'll be moving to the new Gallery2
package. The look and feel of the gallery will change quite a bit, but the
functionality should be much improved. I *may* even be able to allow
anonymous read access again, because the new package has some code to
prevent the kind of abuse we were seeing that required us to lock it down.
