It IS the Society for CREATIVE Anachronism. At BEST the SCA is cherry
picking history, NOT 100% accurate depiction of history. Yes, a demo is
supposed to be impressive, but not to the point that you are excluding new
people that WANT to participate. People need to lighten up a little. I am
not new to the SCA, just new to this Barony. I must say there does seem to
be a small group of people that seem to WANT to control things. I've been
trying to help people and I was WARNED that people in this barony won't
stand for trying to form a guild in order to get power...WOAH...gee what a
PLEASANT welcome and thank you for TRYING to help people.

As far as periodness getting MORE slack, I've been in the SCA off and on for
20 years. Most people were wearing Gunny Sax dresses, tennis shoes and the
men hippie tunics with sweat pants...oh and pickle barrel armour...The SCA
has become heaps and bounds BETTER.
It CAN BE a FUN and fantastic way to learn about history. PLEASE do not get
discouraged and stop participating.
