[Nordskogen] Nordskogen's 12th Night Rapier Tourney!

Greetings Unto the Halls,
        Sorry for the cross postings but I'd like to get the word out about
the rapier tourney at Nordskogen's 12th Night celebration!

Being a True Student In the Arte of Defense means more than just being good
with a Sword.  One must show Culture.  How does One demonstrate this?  Well
One's Knowledge of Various Fields both Mundane and Society will be tested
with Questions!  That's Right... the fastest/most skillfull with a Sword
will not necessarily Win.  The Fields to be Tested are, so far, History Both
Mundane and Society, Aires and Graces, and "Botany".  There will be others
but They will not be announced until the Day of. Each Field will have Three
Levels, Student, Cadet and Don (worth 1, 2, or 3 points) but you don't have
to be one to answer at that level.   But Faelan, what If I am not as well
versed as others?  Quite simple... It is not necessarily what One knows
Themselves but sometimes WHO someone Knows.  Bring an Expert if you wish...

There will be Three Prizes Awarded.  One for the "Most Cultured", One for
the Best Fighter and One Overall.  Fighting and Quizzing Will begin at
10:30.  The Rapier field will be open for Authorizations by appointment from
10-10:30 provided we have Marshals/Partners available.  We need to be done
by 1:30 so if there is time available after the Tourney there will be open
field space for fighting.  Please let me know before January the 10th (the
Weds. before) if you wish to Authorize.  Also if one wants to authorize in
Cut and Thrust and there are Marshals qualified to do so they may be done
too.  If anyone has a suggestion for a new catagory, please let me know @
