[Nordskogen] September Newsletter Deadline Extended

Greetings! Looking at the calendar, I have decided to extend the deadline for the September _Crystal Quill_ another week. The extended deadline is NOON on Saturday, August 26.
   
  You are certainly welcome to give me stuff earlier.  :o)
   
  Take advantage of the extra time and compose a few words on the topic of heavy combat -- in period and/or in the SCA. Write about a favorite personal experience, how your persona would have experienced weapons combat, what we know about combat in period, how SCA combat differs from period combat, and so on.
   
  Please read the SUBMISSION GUIDELINES found on the _Crystal Quill_ page of the Nordskogen Web site, www.nordskogen.northshield.org/quill.html. These are important!
   
  And of course you can always start writing about one of the other upcoming themes!
   
  - Oct 06 -- sporting/hunting (what do you know about hunting methods or sporting events in your persona’s culture? Hint: I already have an article about coursing hounds; what can YOU send me?)
   
   - Nov 06 -- equestrian (OK, horse lovers: trot out your knowledge! What’s up in the SCA equestrian community? How were horses used in period? What’s your favorite equestrian SCA experience? [I know Checheyigan has a great one...] Artists! Everyone loves to draw horses... Send me your artwork!)
